Merriam-Webster defines gloss as “a surface luster of brightness” or as a “bright often superficial attractiveness”. But it can also mean as “a transparent cosmetic preparation for adding shine and usually color to the lips”. I think I like the last one best. It serves a purpose. It shows that beyond the superficiality that the two meanings connote, gloss can actually be of value.
My name is Faith Marsden. GLOSS is a blog about adventures, travels, and everything in between. It is about looking beyond the gloss of everything. It’s about digging stories from people, places, and experiences. If there’s one belief I’d like to share, it would be this: Life will never be perfect, but it’s going to be great.
